Description
This is a half-day training course on Traffic Marshall/ Vehicle Banksman. Banksman training ensures that an organisation meets its legal requirements and reduces the risk of costly accidents when carrying out common, but dangerous, reversing manoeuvres.
Who Should Attend?
Any person responsible for assisting in the maneuvering, loading, and unloading of vehicles should attend.
Further Information
Delegates should have a full understanding of English in order to be able to undertake the written test and communicate with the driver on the practical session. All delegates are required to bring their own PPE to include safety boots, hi-visibility clothing, and hard hat. On completion of the course and multiple-choice test, the candidates will receive a certificate valid for 3 years.

Description
Our abrasive wheel training courses are suitable for all operators, managers and supervisors, who as part of their working duties select, mount, specify or use abrasive wheels as defined in PUWER Regulations 1998.
The aim of the Abrasive wheels training course is to enable candidates to work safely, to provide an understanding of current legislation, to promote awareness of the dangers and hazards of abrasive wheels, and to offer practical steps to reduce workplace accidents and encourage workers to adopt a culture that results in a safer workplace.
The abrasive wheel regulations are now part of legislation PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998). It is a legal requirement under The Provision and use of Work Equipment 1998 (PUWER). All staff who use abrasive wheels, receive abrasive wheels training in the safe use of the equipment, and changing of abrasive wheels should attend this training.
A certificate of course completion will be issued with an expiry date of 3 years from course date.
This qualitative face fit testing is £25 + VAT per person or £400 + VAT up to 20 people at your site.
Description
A tight-fitting face piece is only as good as the fit itself and any break in the seal can lead to potential exposure and a risk to an employee’s health. At Asbestos Training Solutions Ltd, our face fit testing falls under the current COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations. It’s imperative that any tight-fitting face pieces are fitted and worn correctly to ensure maximum protection and to meet your legal obligations.
Qualitative Face Fit Testing can complement our Asbestos Awareness Training as it’s required under both the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 ACoP L143 (paragraph 196) and the Control of Lead at Work Regulations 2002 ACoP L132 (paragraph 133). We follow the HSE’s guidelines for best practice regarding the fitting of any RPE (Respiratory Protective Equipment), and you’re assured strict adherence to their criteria during any fit testing.
What Type of Masks Require Fit Testing?
Any tight-fitting face piece will require REP Fit Testing. This includes full-face masks, half-face masks, and all-filtering face pieces (disposable face masks). In addition, self-contained and air-fed breathing apparatus, plus negative pressure masks and power-assisted full masks, will also require face fit testing.
Preparation
Any person signing up for face-fit testing will need to have the mask with them that they intend to use, as well as being clean shaven to ensure the best seal. Make sure your employees have the protection they need to work in environments where there’s a risk of exposure to a wide range of hazardous materials. Description
This course will enable the attendees to carry out qualitative face fit testing for either half-face disposable or reusable respirators in line with HSG 53, The Respiratory Protective Equipment at Work guidance. The benefits to you the employer is both cost effectiveness and the convenience of being able to fit test new employees instead of waiting for an available trainer.
Course Topics
There will be a theory and practical test. Upon passing both elements, a certificate valid for 3 years will be issued.
This is a part-classroom and part-practical course. The trainer will need access to suitable ground with hidden utilities. Prices are from £450 for up to 8 people and this lasts for approximately four hours.

Controls and Operation
We cover the correct use of C.A.T4 and Genny4 in all modes with strong emphasis on Genny use and checking that equipment is functioning correctly.
C.A.T4
Learn about interpretation of the signal and how to locate service joints, changes of direction and depth, and how to use or disable Strike Alert.
Genny4
You’ll look at the benefits of dual frequency, applications, and how to use the Genny4 to locate small and/or non-earthed cables using capacitance. We’ll also cover how to effectively earth the Genny4 and different methods including earth positioning. A blind induction search and the effective nulling of services is also part of this session.
There will be a theory test following the course; on passing the course a certificate will be issued with is valid for 3 years.
This course is £400 for up to 15 people at your premises and it lasts for approximately three hours.
Description
Manual handling training is required if your staff are undertaking potentially hazardous manual handling activities. It is a legal requirement under Manual Handling Operations Regulations to ensure that effective training is provided. Manual handling injuries account to 25% of all reported workplace accidents.

Description
This course is for managers and employees. It gives candidates a good overall knowledge of the Working at Heights Regulations 2005. The course will enable candidates to organise and plan working at height, avoid risks, and select appropriate work equipment for a particular task.
Course Content
On completing the course, the candidates will be issued a certificate of completion which will be valid for years.
