Qualitative Face Fit Testing
This qualitative face fit testing is £25 + VAT per person or from £525 + VAT up to 20 people at your site.
-
Description
A tight-fitting face piece is only as good as the fit itself and any break in the seal can lead to potential exposure and a risk to an employee’s health. At Asbestos Training Solutions Ltd, our face fit testing falls under the current COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations. Any tight-fitting face pieces must be fitted and worn correctly to ensure maximum protection and to meet your legal obligations.
Qualitative Face Fit Testing can complement our Asbestos Awareness Training as it’s required under both the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 ACoP L143 (paragraph 196) and the Control of Lead at Work Regulations 2002 ACoP L132 (paragraph 133). We follow the HSE’s guidelines for best practice regarding the fitting of any RPE (Respiratory Protective Equipment), and you’re assured of strict adherence to their criteria during any fit testing.
-
What Type of Masks Require Fit Testing?
Any tight-fitting face piece will require REP Fit Testing. This includes full-face masks, half-face masks, and all-filtering face pieces (disposable face masks). In addition, self-contained and air-fed breathing apparatus, plus negative pressure masks and power-assisted full masks, will also require face fit testing.
-
Preparation
Any person signing up for face-fit testing will need to bring the mask they intend to use and make sure they are clean-shaven to ensure the best seal. Make sure your employees have the protection they need to work in environments where there’s a risk of exposure to a wide range of hazardous materials. Choose Asbestos Training Solutions Ltd and you’ll be assured of Qualitative Face Fit Testing that will give you the knowledge and confidence to work safely at all times.
